Beautiful paintings at Fabryczna 13!

“I’m every Woman!” 🧝🏽‍♀️ Mercure Krakow Fabryczna City and Fabryczna 13 invites you to an exhibition of works by artist Maggie Piu!
🎨 Maggie Piu is an extremely creative personality, as she herself says “the story of her painting started way before she was born”. She comes from an artistic family, her uncle painted ornaments and frescoes in, for example, the Chapel of Coats of Arms in Vienna or the Armenian Cathedral in Lviv, her father was a sculptor and metalworker, while her brother was a painter. Maggie Piu’s paintings create a unique and magical atmosphere.
👩🏻‍🎨 Małgorzata Bieniek-Strączek has had more than 70 solo exhibitions and participated in art events. Among others in Warsaw, Krakow, London, Prawga, Lviv, Copenhagen. In Cracow at Bohaterów Getta she runs her own art gallery. Maggie’s paintings are in private collections around the world.
🖼️ In her works, the artist focuses on the image of a woman, depicting it in a magical and unique way. Through her work, she wants to inspire a sense of beauty, love and awe in the viewer. She believes that art does not have to hurt, it can be ornate, stylish and symbolic.

Her paintings are a combination of the vision of a woman of the “art nouveau” period with a surrealistic vision of the female body – placed in the melancholic surroundings of a fairy tale dream. Maggie Piu’s paintings and prints are a journey into the land of feminine Beauty. The author does not hide the fact that this beauty is idealized, but in her work she wants to arouse these emotions in the viewer.
Piu is like the protagonist of the novel “Perfume” John Baptist Grenouille, who obsessively wants to keep and perfect something elusive, but unlike him, Maggie does not smother women. She obsessively endows them with perfection and gives them immortality.

❗️ Images will adorn 📍 Fabryczna 13 throughout March!
