We want our guests’ experience during their stay to be not only enriching, but also supportive of our immediate environment and locality. We will take further steps for our environment. ” – says Hotel General Manager Joanna Chwastek Pluta. Mercure Krakow Fabryczna city’s constantly improving sustainability initiatives focus on three main aspects:

  • Environmentally friendly stays: throughout the hotel’s operations, new ways to reduce the level of greenhouse gas emissions and implement the principles of a closed-loop economy are constantly being sought, the hotel uses clean energy sources, saves water by using gray water, electricity by installing detectors in common spaces, and eliminates single-use plastic.
  • Responsible food management: the hotel’s Destilo restaurant uses ingredients from local suppliers, their use is always thought out so that as few ingredients as possible are wasted. The capacity of dishes has also been reduced, in order to reduce food waste, while encouraging guests to use buffets more often and more consciously.
  • Culture partners: Mercure Krakow Fabryczna City is like a bridge connecting guests to the history of the place and the local area. It encourages local artists to collaborate, developing cultural awareness with its guests as well as employees, who are often involved in the creation and holding of various events. Its main goal is to support the development of local communities, by establishing lasting, two-way relationships with them and bringing their art to guests and the local community.
